Car Drop-off Procedures

 

Drop off and Dismissal Questions 

What is the earliest I can drop my child off at school?

• Car Rider drop-offs are at 7:20 am.

What is the latest I can pick up my student at school?

• Please pick up your children for early dismissals, no later than 1:45 pm.
• Car Riders should be picked up from school by 2:30. Please contact the school if there will be a delay that may go past 2:50 pm. 

Can my student walk to school?

• Walkers need a parent letter with a handwritten signature identifying that they are walking to and from school. You can take a picture of the letter. 
  • Send it to lmsattendance@cdschools.org. On the subject line, write 'Walker Note'.  
• Walkers should exit the school and walk to the right towards Linglestown Elementary. 
• We would prefer that walkers do not cross Mountain Road it is not safe.

What are the bus numbers and where will my student pick up the bus after school?

• We have two bus runs at LMS. Group A dismisses at 2:30 after announcements by PA, and Group B, dismisses at 2:36 pm. 
• Please check MyRide K12 for your student’s bus number.

Groups A

• Group A students will dismiss and report directly to their buses after stopping at their lockers to get their items. There is no need to run, we won’t dismiss the buses until we have everyone! 
• The sports/activity shuttles come after Group A buses depart.

Group B 

• Group B students will remain in their classrooms until called by PA. 
• Once Group B students are called by PA, they will report to the cafeteria and wait until the Group B buses arrive. Then they will be dismissed to the buses. Group B students are not to be dismissed with Group A students. Group B students who dismiss with Group A will be subject to disciplinary action.
