Flexible Instruction Days (FIDs)
Students need to attend school when there is a day that we at Linglestown Middle School are learning from home. Attendance needs to be reported on that day of school. Here are the ways that your student can learn remotely.
Teachers and Teams at LMS have provided students with FID assignments that have been placed in folders that students were given to take home, so they can have access to assignments in the event of a FID day. Please check with your children to make sure they have their FID folders at home.
Option 1 (If Technology is available)
Students will join teachers online for remote learning through TEAMS following a shortened schedule. They will then complete the work assignments for the rest of the school day.
Visit the Bell Schedules page to view the FID schedule
Option 2 (If Technology is NOT available)
When a student is not able to join the remote learning through TEAMs, students will complete the paper assignments given to them by their teachers. These assignments will be returned to school the next in person school day.
Parents need to contact the school to report this on the same day as the Flexible Instruction Day.
Attendance
- If your student reports to HR/1 PD, a staff member will mark the student present. If the student is present, no further action will be needed.

- Complete this form. LMS Attendance Google Form
- Call and leave a message at 717-657-3060
- Email the attendance secretary and your child’s homeroom teacher. lmsattendance@cdschools.org
- When there is a Flexible Instruction Day, there will be communication from the district through phone calls as well as information postings on the website.
- If students are not present on the TEAMs meeting, or you do not contact the school on the day of remote instruction, or your student does not submit the completed school work, you will need to provide a note within 3 days for it to be an excused absence.
